The wool is surprisingly soft, no itchiness at all even on my kid's bare skin. Those little horn buttons with the engraving are a nice touch, and the heart intarsia on the chest survived several washes without pilling.

The V-neck makes it easy to layer over a collared shirt, and the horn buttons with the little engraved detail feel way nicer than the plastic ones on most kids' cardigans. My son wore it to a birthday party and it didn't itch him once, which never happens with wool.

Bought this for my daughter and the wool is genuinely soft, not itchy at all, which was my main worry. The little heart logo on the chest is subtle enough that she can wear it to school without it feeling babyish.
